Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a
thesis specialization in Microbiology
- Licensed Registered
Microbiologist
- Minimum of 8 months experience in a
microbiology research laboratory
- Experienced in bacterial isolation,
characterization, and identification
- Skilled in antibiotic susceptibility
testing and fieldwork procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and
statistical tools
- Trained and certified in the use of
VITEK 2 Compact
- Highly attentive to detail and accurate
in documentation
- Capable of operating various
laboratory instruments and applying established
protocols
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in all sampling and field
collection activities
- Collect samples from clinical and
environmental sources following standard procedures • Maintain detailed and accurate field documentation
- Assist in isolating and purifying
bacterial samples
- Perform morphological, biochemical, and
molecular characterization of isolates
- Ensure quality control and data
integrity for the culture collection
- Follow protocols for bacterial isolate
storage and documentation
- Compile and communicate project
reports across all phases
