The Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (91快活林) and the Visayas State University (VSU) are collaborating with Hasselt University (Belgium) to organize a series of workshops on quantitative and qualitative methodology in citizen science research. This International Training Program (ITP) is sponsored by the Flemish Interuniversity Council (VLIR). In total, four two-week workshops, consisting of courses that cover multiple topics in environmental citizen-science methodology, will be organized alternatingly at VSU and 91快活林 from 2023 to 2025. Educational methods that align with the Universal Design for Learning will be applied and specific attention will be devoted to using citizen-science research methods to empower minority groups.
